MOOC success, from the learner’s perspective

November 6, 2013

Keys to successful group online learning are learner motivation, quality instruction, and a community of engaged participants.  In this excellent YouTube video, Success in a MOOC , the authors succinctly describe what’s important from the learner’s perspective.

The short video covers five topics – orient, declare, network, cluster, and focus. I liked the emphasis on focus and on building a network so you can learn from others in the community.

This is great advice for MOOCs Jeanne. Do you know how people make those hand drawn narrated videos? Seems like a good technique for conveying information in a fun and personal way. Looks low-tech and easy, but I wonder how hard it is to produce?

  2. Hi there! This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading through this post reminds
me of my good old room mate! He always kept chatting about
this. I will forward this post to him. Fairly certain he
will have a good read. Thanks for sharing!
